Last time I took a photo of the speedometer of a vehicle in motion I promptly got a ticket from the cop heading the other way. Fortunately he didn't notice I had a camera out. 8)

True story. It was some divided highway up in WV somewhere. I forget what the speedo read, about 95-ish, I think. Ticket was in the high 80's until a nice local lawyer got it reduced very nicely.

Oh, and it was on a motorcycle. I was trying to get a photo at 100 but the road wasn't quite long or empty enough to do that "safely" while holding the camera in one hand. I was just trying to take the best I could get on the empty section so I could slow down before I was anywhere near any other traffic.

Too long ago to mention on my THSCC application. All the good speeding stories are, of course. But I still keep my traffic lawyer's number in my cellphone, just in case.
