They are very nice cars, and be made surprisingly fast....que Karl :wink:

But without a doubt their 'regular' maint costs are dramatically more than most other cars. Bascially it comes down to the fact that a large motor, with two turbos, is shoehorned into a small space.

we had a old audi 5000s diesel fwd.. it was ok as a car, till it got hit. (not our fault) i was quite young, but it seemed ok. Trey Rivers has a audi 1.8t A4 quattro. maybe ask him for some audi a4 advice

And all of that small space is forward of the front strut towers ...

in most front wheel drive cars, that is the case.. look at our toyota next time at a rallycross during tech.. sadly that is the case with most all fwd cars.the golf tdi im sure is terrible weight distribution.
