Just to dispel a rumor I heard at the RallyX-

Spectator/Pit passes are $40 for the weekend. The $75 fee is for someone crewing for a team.

Update: We just finished work weekend #4 on the car, and it's really coming together nicely. Read more here: http://doriftodogs.com/

We had debated whether or not to share the pictures of the design before the official unveiling at the July Sanford autox, but we like you guys so much, we decided to share.

I would like to thank Vincent, Kendt, Walter, and Les for putting in the real effort on the car this weekend, as well as Remchak for providing us a REALLY nice place to work. I was just a parts gopher and occasional photographer. Mark wasn't able to join us - he was booked up at Performance Chassis.

OK - I'm sure you all are wondering how you can join in the fun.

You're not? I'll tell you anyways :D !

Rather than just begging for the big time sponsors, we're offering a once in a lifetime chance to be a team (co-)owner - for only $10!
Like every team owner you'll have the thrills of watching your car get beat to hell on track, your stumblebum pitcrew trip over themselves, etc and etc...

You also get to support a good cause - we're splitting any money we get from this with the Court Summerfield memorial fund (the driver who passed away at the Altamont race - car #39).

Image

You get 2 official Dorifto Dogs stickers - one for yourself, and one to slap on the car. If you're too embarrased by us, we'll stick it on the undercarriage - we don't *plan* to have that show
You can choose your own snappy slogan:

Does it Dorifto-Doggy Style
Is a Dorifto-Dog's Best Friend
Atomic Dorifto-Dog!
Runs with the Dorifto-Dogs
Let the Dorifto-Dogs Out

PM me, or email doriftodog@gmail.com if you're interested.

When looking at the photos be sure to notice how sweaty we were. It was HOT. Vincent had to be worse off when welding in his "smock". He did get a couple of sparks in his shoes. He curses well!

A couple of notes and updates...

One dog steps down, one dog steps up.
Mark Cooper has given his seat in the car to our newest team member, none other than Bernie Baake. Mark is staying involved as a sponsor, providing tire and alignment support to the team. Thanks to Mark and welcome Bernie!

If you haven't been to the site lately...
Check out http://www.doriftodogs.com for the latest updates. There are a few blog updates, and a bunch of new pictures in the gallery. I'll suggest viewing the gallery in IE, as for some reason, Firefox goofs it up. The car is looking pretty good. Vincent, Kendt, and Walter have put a ton of time and effort in to the car and it's paying off.

A little more Firefox info on the gallery -

The thumbnails and slideshow options work in Firefox, it's just the larger views that break.

Edit - and if you click the offset image as you browse the gallery, you can see the large image.

IE-haters rejoice

WARNING - if the average age of your team is greater than the average temperature on the asphalt of CMP, in July, you may want to reconsider
