It looks like Donnie and Leh won the wet skidpad today - which is really awesome! They'll be at Road America tomorrow.

Sincerely,
Anonymous Hater of Donnie Barnes

Correction, we've already done Road America today. Had to haul 240 miles from Tire Rack to Road America, do a quick little circuit, and then off for another 600 miles to Mid America tomorrow.

Blog updated!

They moved into 4th overall today and are leading their class. Donnie said they'd arrive at their destination in Texas close around 2:30 a.m. - ouch. It looks like they are doing really well.

New blog will be up in about 30 minutes (assuming we're now in civilization for a while...most of Iowa and all of Kansas are apparently still uncivilized).

Since I talked to Eric we've trimmed 20 minutes off our 2:30 estimate (including three stops) and then realized the GPS is still on EDT, which means we'll really arrive before 1:30 local time and won't have to be out of bed until 6:30 or maybe a little later in the morning. So we're in pretty good shape still....way better than a LOT of other teams.

Good stuff, man! We're all watching and reading. Wish I was there.

Some suggestions for the video feed, if you want to spend time embellishing some details:

- about the car (model, mods, rubber)
- your co-driver, how you met, made the arrangement to do it
- I liked the swivel shot of the view out the window!

Just some ideas! I want to know more about what's going on :)

Okay, I had more time to kill, so I did a bonus blog post to answer Mike's questions and a couple more. Don't worry, I'll be expanding the video blogging. But don't expect any good shots of Leh...my assistant seems infatuated with seeing him and I plan to just give nothing but teaser shots. ;)

After the two TMS events Donnie & Leh have moved up to 2nd place overall. The drag racing for tonight (ET then bracket) got cancelled due to rain. Since they are down on power compared to many of the other cars this was likely a blessing for them. Plus, this allowed them to leave Texas much earlier than expected. They were already in Baton Rouge at their hotel getting ready to sleep when we talked a few minutes ago. So, they should get some much needed rest.
