Bonus: Anyone who donates over $50 can co-drive my ITR on new R-comps at the next (or whenever) auto-x FWIW. PM for details.

As several of you may already know am training to participate in the Latta Plantation Triathlon in Charlotte being held on June 15th as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers.

The race will be a tiresome 1/2 mile lake swim, followed by a 17 mile bike ride, and finished up with a 5k trail run. This may sound grueling, but it pales in comparison to the strife that many people and their loved ones contest with in their daily lives while battling these blood cancers.

So now I am personally asking you, my friends and family, to please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission.

There is no donation too small or too large and there are two ways to help me reach and exceed my fundraising goal of $2,200 for research:

1. Visit my webpage and make a donation in less than a few minutes: http://www.active.com/donate/tntenc/mcgrain

Bonus: You get to see a tacky old mountain bike photo of yours truly ;)

2. Or simply mail a check made simply made out to “LLS” for any amount and mail to my home:

Raleigh, NC 27608

I hope you'll visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thank you again for your contribution- it means a lot to me and those who need your help the most. If you have any questions or even if you just want to say hello, call my work phone any time before 6:00 EST, (919) 862-9661.

See you guys and gals in Danville.

Sincerely,
Matthew P. McGrain

The event is in two weeks and the training is brutal but beneficial. I'd really like to thank those that have contributed thus far and if anyone else would like to help a great cause I do want to let folks know it's not too late to help.

Warm regards,
Matt
