We should be good stewards of the earth but we also have needs that fossil fuels seem to meet just fine for now. When something better comes along, we will switch to it.

I don't think that anyone is saying that humans == zero effect on the planet. Your post is, frankly, a little extreme and ridiculous. What people are saying is that humans are not the singular cause of global warming and that our ideas of runaway global warming where in the next 10 years we will live in a desert are silly.

Everyone should always do their part to be environmentally conscious but to maintain that humans are single handedly changing the planet without aid from any other source what so ever is arrogant to say the least.

It is easy to play the extreme card and look like a winner. It makes the other party look like an ass. Usually people forget that no one lives their lives in such extremism anyways. If you want to go that route though I would kindly ask you to stop taking #2 restroom breaks. The methane produced is ruining the world, forever.

Sorry, but mankind-induced climate change at a significant and measureable level is impossible to prove. Some will believe and others won't.

If you really, really believe that we are ruining our planet (or at least the ability for humans to live here happily) I would suggest you consider quitting motorsports.

If not, you probably have no idea what environmental effects humans really have.

Petroleum derived hydrocarbon fuels (coal, oil, etc) are NOT a renewable resource. There are plenty of opinions as to when they will run out, but there is very little dispute about the IF.

Even if you think the impact of burning these fuels is negligible, it is still likely in your best interest to help figure out replacements sooner than later.
