I prefer Dish Network over DirecTV, but it's mostly a personal choice. What has me sold on Dish Network are it's DVR and it's two-room with one box capability.

You almost had me sold, however I just noticed the disclaimer on Dish's product description,

Unfortunately for me, TV #2 is also high definition. At least I get HD stuff out of the wall from Time Warner.

To get the package that includes Speed, I'm not seeing a benefit to switching. The cost of the package is only slightly less, my Roadrunner bundle discount would also be lost. I'll look at the fine print of the specials though.

Check out today's Woot!: http://www.woot.com/

TiVo HD DVR w/ dual cable card... thought it might be of interest to this thread, don't really know much about it other than the description they posted so I'm making no claims as to it's quality, usefulness, ect.

DirecTV seems to be the only one offering SpeedHD right now.

I heard they had an exclusive contract for the first six months or so... which supposedly runs out sometime this spring. Not sure how legit that info is though.
