My Cardiologist says I must restrict heavy labor so Donna and I need 3 or 4 fit guys to help me move the remaining furnishings and safe out of our store and into our garage. Will take ~ 6 hours (start ~ 10 AM) will compensate with cash (10.00/hr), pizza and beer, and/or jewelry (20.00/hr jewelry credit) Vinyl work also available, as well as major gratitude! No major lifting except to carry showcases and cabinets to second floor of garage, each easily handled by two guys. Safe will be moved with cherry picker and HD dollies. All will fit in one load of our enclosed trailer, transportation from store to house and back will be provided.
The more help I can get the quicker and easier it will be.
If you can help us out please PM me ASAP.
TIA

beer and pizza eh? Sounds good, but unfortunately, I have some medical tests coming up on the 3rd and have some "prep" stuff to do on the 2nd, so I'm out of commission. Good luck on the move.

BTW, what's you take on the recent DeBeers diamond law suit? I know several folks have bought stuff from you. Should we pursue this?

The consumer is far down the list, after the lawyers take most of it the big wholesaler's and retailers will get the scraps that are left. When it was first announced I had lawyers calling a couple times a day, when they found out I hadn't been buying several millions of dollars worth of diamonds a year most would hang up. WRAL is setting a lot of people up for big dissapointments with their faulty math.

After much convincing from me, we recently upgraded my wife's engagement ring. We paired our small "college" diamond with another just like it on the outside of a much larger diamond all in a new setting. I've also bought my wife several other pieces of fairly considerable value in the time period we're talking about. I think our "claim" is about $600, IIRC. That's certainly worth getting, but it's pretty tiny compared to what we've spent.

So I agree with Chuck, the WRAL math isn't great.

Please, no more questions/discussions on the diamond settlement in this topic, I have started a new topic on that subject.
I still need a couple more helpers!
Most of what still needs moving weighs much less than 100 # it's just bulky and was originally moved in by Donna and myself alone. Anyone helping will be rewarded manyfold, I always give back more in favors than I receive (one of the reasons I hardly ever ask for a favor :D) it's in my nature and upbringing.
In addition to incentives above, I can also offer personalized AX instruction by Donna and/or myself, car setup help, some space/tool/assistance in my well equipped garage to do work on your car (by mutual availability), and possibly fun runs/codrive in our Solstice depending on venue, course design and skill level.
If you need more incentive yet, drop me a PM and tell me what would make it worth your time and effort.

Yes please anyone.
:)

It's especially crucial that we get help now...I just found out that I have to work 12-6 on Sunday. :(

I can throw into the "kitty" anything that I can manage here at the dealership in the way of pay back for help rendered. I just don't want him back into the hospital.

Good news! I found a moving company to do the heavy work. So now the work I need help with will be mostly moving things around within the store to ready them for the movers, and loading some lighter furniture and equipment I'd rather move myself into the trailer. Work will probably be no more than 3 or 4 hours Sunday, so we can start ~ 11:00.

Chuck,

I need to check to see what other commitments I have this weekend. If I can help I will post back here tomorrow.

Chuck, I'm tied up Sunday morning. I can be in Raleigh by 2 PM, if that's not too late to be of any use. I can help Saturday if you wish.

Chuck,

If you guys are still going to be moving stuff after, say around, 2:00ish, I can send two of my swing set installers by to help until 6:00. They'll have a 13' box truck too if you need to fill it up with anything.

My store's not too far from you, on Capital at Spring Forest.

Just shoot me a PM if you can use them that late in the day,
Matt

Thanks everyone!!! Let me figure out the logistics (it's a fairly small store, too many there at one time will be tripping over one another), maybe an early and later shift of a couple hours each? One group for loading in Raleigh, one for unloading in Durham? That way would not inconvenience anyone too long. I'll let everyone know tomorrow.
Thanks for the truck offer Matt, but everything the mover's won't be taking will easily fit in my enclosed trailer.

Chuck,

Where in Durham are you located? My schedule is pretty full on Sunday, but I live in Durham and I might be able to get away to help unload.
