i think i have now seen the audi a3, in quattro form as well as fwd. which poses a question. do you want a vw r32, or a audi a3 quattro. they are similar i think.

If you are buying, I like the A3.

I'd look at a MazdaSpeed 3 before the VW or FWD A3. It handles great, has more power and should be more reliable than both the Audi & VW. The Audi is slick, but as good a luck I've had with my wife's Jetta 1.8 T, I'm not sure I'd roll the dice again on any VW product. I've seen too many people get there time and money siped by various little glitches.

For Audi money, I think I'd be more interested in the unattractive, but formidable STi.
