I can't praise Nationwide settlement procedures enough, I have always found they bend over backwards to provide a fair settlement. I have dealt with them from both sides as a claimant and with helping provide claim settlements for their customers.

That's very good to hear, thanks Chuck! That happens to be my current insurance provider so maybe I'm best off staying put for the time being.

Especially since Cline won't take my phone call.

They canceled my homeowners insurance because I didn't sign some silly paper that they never sent me.

Ok, so give me a homeowners policy, the rate almost doubled.

Buh, bye

Ouch.

They can be a little finicky. When I had a house in Cary, I was in the process of painting the exterior window frames and I had stripped two of the windows on the backside of the house (not visible to the neighbors or the street) and ran out of time to finish them that weekend. I was planning on finishing them the next weekend but before I could, apparently one of the adjusters/inspectors came by and took pictures of the exterior when I wasn't home.

I finished the windows as planned and about 2 weeks later I got an envelope in the mail with a picture of the unfinished window frames along with a letter. The letter stated that I had 6 months to get the window frames painted otherwise they were going to cancel my policy! I ignored it since I had already completed the work but it was a little strange to say the least. I never heard anything else about it so I'm guessing the guy came back at some point to check up on me. It seemed a little excessive but I have no idea how insurance companies operate.

My experience with that company have been at the other end of the spectrum. When my 210 was totaled by one of their customers they never budged off of bottom dollar for the car and in the end never paid me anthing. On my focus they refused to put in an OEM headlight or even a rebuilt unit. So the headlight patterns are different and the replacement unit has had the rubber strip fall off in two years where the original on the other side is fine after 7 years.

I was a Nationwide customer years ago but that ended when Amtrack filed a $20,000 claim due to an unfortunate incident at a RR crossing.

I will not slander Nationwide. I will tell you that I have 3 (three) Nationwide Adjusters insured. Deduce from that what you will

I like American States Ins. Twice they've payed Me for cars I totaled and both times I purchased similar vehicles for considerable less than they settled for. Clines figures on the vette are amazingly familiar

me thinks Cline is and will be getting more familiar with Corvettes very soon. he might need a booster pillow in the seat but that is for another thread. 8)

I would have to beat the women off with a stick if I got a Corvette!

you could beat them off with your booster pillow, you probably wouldn't have a stick..... The clutch is too hard to depress.
