Like it says, I'm ready to get started on some clear repair and painting a front bumper. Any pearls of wisdom out there in respect to painting, where to buy paint, prep and web sites of ref?

I want to try to repair the peeling clear on the roof and trunk. I also have a M3 bumper I need to paint, currently silver. I bought a small HVLP gun at NH. Pretty good deal for $40 bucks, included a cleaning kit, cup and regulator. All I need is some guidance. I'm not looking for perfect, just want to get the car in better shape apperance wise.

thanks....

Rodney - Talk to Brian Marks. He's been painting parts for his M3 in his back yard apparently with good results and it sounds like he has a source for paint and knowledge. I've been meaning to learn more about what he's painting with myself...

Walker auto parts on six forks used to stock a full line of dupont auto paint. Clear coat painting can be a complete pain in the ass. It makes a big difference what the temps are and the humidity.

When I did the trim pieces on the Subaru, we got our supplies from Sherwin Williams' Auto Paint store, near 440 and Capital.
