Agreed. If VT would have run Ore all night long instead of trying to pass, they would have been up at least 17 going into the final 4 minute collapse.

The reason they lost was the "Prevent" defense, because it prevents you from winning. Whoever came up with idea of a softer defense to not give up the "big play" is an idiot. When you dominate a team in that fashion for 56 minutes, there is no reason to change at a critical time. - AB

BC got lucky! Should be interesting to see how they do the rest of the season.

Ok, here is the deal. Beamer needs to fire Stinespring or whatever his name is, the offensive coordinator. Beamer is loyal to a fault. The hokies use very little imagination on offensive and have made a living off of Bud Fosters Defense. This is not the first time I have seen this. As far back as the 1999 Sugar Bowl, thats how FSU won the national championship. Wear the defense out and then kill them in the Fourth quarter. It didn't help that Tierod (brother named swaybar) Taylor was out. I think he is about 50% better, even though Glennon had a good game for him.

Ryan, I will have to disagree. BC did not look good. I dont think they are the number 2 team in the nation. Ryan (qb for bc, not you) Looked great for 2 minutes, crappy for 58. By the way your rates are going up for speaking against my Hokies.

The only team that I feel has a shot at beating them is Miami. FSU, Clemson and Maryland can't get it done.

This is one of the reasons why a NCAA Football playoff is needed. LSU, Oklahoma, WVU and maybe even Oregon would all destroy BC, yet unless they get beat, they will play for the National Championship.

Outside of beating VT, where is their "quality" win? They've beaten Wake Forest, NC State, Georgia Tech, Army, UMass, Bowling Green and Notre Dame.

Of all of the programs, Georgia Tech was 15th ranked at the time, but they were over-ranked then. Notre Dame has been horrible from the start of the season. I think Charlotte-Mecklenburg high could hand ND a loss on a good day.

BC is a good team in a weak division. - AB

Say what you want but BC could be playing in the big game at the end of the year and have a Heisman winner as well.

Im just sayin' that no matter what its better than saying your "big win" was beating ECU

He did not look very Heisman-like last night. About the only thing he did well was limit the turnovers while he was getting sacked.

That loss screwed up ECU's season more than it helped State's. I was pulling for the Pirates.

Apparently you don't know about this little QB from Florida? There is no one truly else in the Heisman trophy running but Tim Tebow.

As for WVU's performance, I am only a follower due to the girlfriend. There is still no doubt WVU would roll BC. - AB

Did you see the letter to the editor in the paper today about ECU football?

Actually, all I car about is beating UVA!

i don't claim to be a BC fan and until i saw the news this evening i would have had no problem believing VT collapsed as stated here earlier. i did not see the end of the game.

but when i saw where BC got the onside kick against a Frank Beamer special team, well they (BC) might be good.

and as for the weak schedule arguement, geezus let's look at Ohio State. if it holds as is, it will be the battle of the untested in the BCS title game.

oh and i must add this, F*** a bunch of Michigan.

I pretty sure the Heisman likes QB's that win the big games. :)
