Well, I just bought my third Mini. My daughter needs a car for school (ECU) so I thought I would be on the look out for an automatic Bug (ont of my great faillings as a father, neither of my kids will drive a straight) or something I could put my graphics on.

Last week I pulled into a clients car lot who does a lot of business with me and he not only had a bug but a Mini with the CVT transmission. I let my daughter drive both thinking she would go for the Bug. Who woould think a college freshman wants to drive the same car both her parents drive. She actually preffered the ride and everything else of the Mini (of course several grand more price with it)

The transmission sucks in drive but put in the CVT mode (or what ever it is called) it is a fun little thing to drive. I might even try to get my wife to take it to the track.

I do not have a problem.

That rocks Cline. I like the safety of the Mini over the Bug too. - AB

I drove an '07 Cooper S for about 90 miles last Sunday. I gotta say, that's a heck of a neat car for a FWD beast. Tempted, but I think a new R32 would tempt me more (with SMG!). But I'll probably skip both. *sigh*
