I got an email from my boss stating that he saw a bunch of people pulled over, and on the way back to the office in Cary from Aviation Pkwy, I saw two people already pulled over by State Troopers, a third in the process of getting pulled by an unmarked Charger, a dump truck on an entrance ramp that was pinched by the State Trooper SUV, and three Staties on the side of the road waiting for people.

Either they're gearing up for Labor Day or they were light getting revenue for the state early in the month. Watch out.

repeat after me..."Raleigh PD does not have quotas, Raleigh PD does not have quotas." they are just as happy to give you a ticket a the beginning of the month as they are at the end. i don't know about the staties though.

These were State Troopers, not Raleigh PD.

I saw a cop sitting on the bridge between Harrison Ave and Aviation Pkway that was radioing in bogies for the po-po to pinch. He was gone by the next time that I passed underneath it (at 68 mph).

They are thick! From Harrison to 540 I saw at lest 4 cars. 2 had people pulled over and the other two were sitting just after the bridge after Harrison (I thought it was kinda funny b/c I thought it was just a ped bridge until I saw all the cops). I also saw the red/marron charger but it was going the other way (towards wade ave) with its lights on.

FWIW, on a trip down to Atlanta two weeks back, the State Patrol was heavy patrolling EVERYWHERE along I-85 all the way to the state line. Unmarked cars, cars w/o light bars, SUVs w/o light bars, the works. There were spots with a radar car and multiple chase cars waiting, etc... It reminded me of the 1970's when stuff like this was common (along with CB radios letting you know of every one of them ahead of time).

It's always easier when you have the Bandit running interference for you.

I've seen unmarked Chargers in both silver and burgandy with people pulled over in the last two weeks in the South Raleigh/Garner area. Highway Patrol on 40 and 440 both on stakeout and actively pulling people over. I say stakeout because this fool came flying by me in a white pickup and the State Trooper on the exit ramp ridge didn't budge, but that guy exited at the next stop and so he didn't get pulled by the cop waiting 2 exits down.

If all you idiots wouldn't drive 200 million miles per hour just so you can get to the next stoplight 10 seconds earlier, you wouldn't have anything to worry about. :P
