Rachel Lynn Whitney is a beautiful and perfect 7lb 1oz baby girl born at 11:53 this morning after a short 3 hour induced labor. Mom and baby are doing great :)

I guess Kendra wasn't kidding when she told me she had 'had it' and somebody better start getting the induction ready!!

Rachel is beautiful. Congratulations. I hope Nathan is just as excited as Mom and Dad.

I just checked, those pics are from the first hour -- in the first she's 15 minutes old. She's amazingly active compared with Nathan -- looking around, responding to sounds and lights, thrashing away. Yeah, she'll be a hellion :)

PS - For those of you with wives who want to do natural childbirth, talk them out of it. This one was eeeeeeeeasy with the epidural.

I second that. With Crystal getting to hospital, and delivering the baby 50 mins later there was no time for an epi even though she REALLY wanted one and had planned on one all along.
