Dear Honda Experts,

I've found a 2002 Civic HX (which is the lean burn 1.7 VTEC) for sale that looks like it may be a good deal. They are supposed to get up to 44 MPG highway. Is there anything that I should be concerned about regarding these cars? I haven't found anything to alarm me during my limited internet research. Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Eric

The one I'm looking at is bone stock. I found a fair number on the web that seem to be stock. I think there is less of a desire to mod-up a vehicle that gets high mileage.

You know, that gen of Civic didnt gain much popularity with the Ricer crowd for some reason.

It sounds like a good buy to me. Its still a freakin' Honda.
