Maybe they changed ownership or business policy? It was ~ a year ago I talked to them. I asked if they would build me their 2 story garage with a 4' high foundation wall to give 12' ceiling height and/ or give me an 18'x8' oversized door. I also asked for Anderson insulated vinyl windows. All three answers were an immediate no, they could only build to their plans??? I thought it odd for havig custom in their name.

Maybe new owners or the market is getting soft and they need customers?

I haven't used these guys, or know anyone who has, but might be a good place to ask some questions, and get an idea of cost.

Rodney,
I used Carolina Custom Builders to build my garage. You are welcome to come check it out anytime. They do build cookie cutter designs with a few elevations. I was able to get 9' ceilings and put windows where I wanted. They build in 4' size increments to maximize materials. My shop is a 1 1/2 story with a footprint of 24'x36'. They had it built in about 4-6 weeks as I recall. I would recommend them again with the understanding it's a canned garage. I spent in low 20's for the building, not including extra site prep and my electrical and finishing work.

I went through the whole build it myself thing but in the end decided it would take more time than I wanted to wait for completion.

Again, feel free to check it out. That offer is for anyone.

Chris

Rodney, Just had an all metal 24x30 garage installed yesterday, total cost 10k with concrete slab. Thats the benefit of country living on acreage. Still need to run electrical. Don't know if thats what your looking for or allowed to erect in your area. If it is come out take a look and pickup a sand blast box.
