It's more a GM tie-in, with the Autobots being entirely composed of Pontiacs, Camaros, GMC Trucks, etc.

While I can understand the desire to move away from the blocky toy robot aesthetic of the original cartoon series, I don't get the reasoning behind dramatically changing the key features of iconic characters, like the faces of Optimus Prime, Megatron and Bumblebee.

Color me unimpressed.
