I am considering setting up a "not for profit" to own and operate a web site. Looking for someone who has some experience in this. I am looking to get a feel for the difficulty and cost in setting it up, as well as the required tasks to run long term.

This not for profit would not have any employees and the main purpose is to try to support a specific online community, but also prevent a single person from gaining control of the domain name and site content.

Get a lawyer to do it. Can't recommend anyone, though...my lawyer could do it (and that's who *I* would use), but they're more expensive than what you need. Hopefully someone can chime in with a specific recommendation. A good tax person can also probably point you in the right direction.
