i think those apple commercials are frigg'n brilliant...i'm not a mac user and i take every opportunity to point and snicker when i meet one, but come on, you have to hand it to those adds. they perfectly get across what apple is trying to say without actually saying it. the one that had the japanese chick as the camera was priceless.
the target audience is key...if you find the commercials insulting, then you aren't in the target audience. they are going after people that don't have an opinion yet, or at least those that aren't entrenched in their opinions and resitent to change.
as a marketing tool, those commericals are excellent. simple, to the point, targeted, hard to forget and not to mention....cheap to make.
