I am looking for some drive time listening to broaden my horizons.
What free informational MP3-casts would you recommend (non-ipod based)
Suggestion in:
Politics
Money Management
Historical
Tech news
Health news
other?

Then maybe a good fictional book or two
Thanks

I just finished reading several of Chuck Palahniuk's novels -- Fight Club, Choke, Survivor and Stranger Than Fiction: True Stories and Bret Eaton Ellis's American Psycho. I recommend them if you like odd, quirky stuff.

"This American Life" is a great PRI show, they are calling it podcast, but you can use something besides Itunes to download it and play it on any mp3 device.

This site has free software for downloading as well as a list of casts by genre.

Me like:

- Motley Fool's NPR capsules are fluff but entertaining
- Dorsey-Wright podcasts, and Jim Cramer's Mad Money offer excellent but nearly opposite investing discussions (D-W professes technical analysis and sector tracking, Jim C is a diehard fundamentalist who understands the technicians). Both are a little above novice but below expert level.
- Almost anything NPR puts out is good -- I especially enjoy A Way With Words, which is great if you're into language study.

I'm looking for any recommendations on a good personal/small business/investor-level legal and tax advice podcase. Something that tackles the ins and out of one topic per episode would be great.

Mike - you and I listen to a lot of the same podcasts. The only other one I listen to is for XBox 360 junkies, it is the Major Nelson podcast. It has a lot of good inside info on the video gaming world.
