Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.
The Red Sox were one hit wonders.
Go Cards!

Walter is so old that he used to eat Cracker Jack and actually get a prize instead of a sticker.

Congrats!

A HUGE layoff between series is NOT a good thing.

Oh, so *that* is why Detroit pitchers can't throw the ball to third base. Check.

Five games, no less than five E1s for the Tiggers. Has anyone pursued the stats for how many of those errors eventually crossed home plate or extended the inning if there were two outs on the board?

At least the Cards pulled their right fielder. I think that he sprays Pam onto his glove before he sets foot onto the field. Putting a 1B into RF just before the World Frickin Series isn't the smartest move that LaRussa has ever made.

edit: eight out of the 22 total runs given up by the Tiggers were unearned -- the most since the 1956 WS when the Dodgers still played in Brooklyn.

He put him in for his bat. Look at the line up when he was in. the batting order was L,R,L,R,L etc. That is pure Tony LaRussa. He changes his batting order to match up well against the other pitcher.

Charlotte was the most dangerous NC city on the list at about 42.
