I seem to be turning into my own U-pull-it Miata junk yard. If you need something from an early car, ping me and I may have it.

New arrivals spotted today (Jan 17)

'90 Miata, red, looks like it was wrecked all over- no 1 major impact, then sat somewhere for a while. A guy was pulling the windshield today so I didn't give it a very thorough look. Had a couple of stock looking steel wheels, rough interior.

~97 Protege- didn't look at it very thoroughly

2nd Gen RX7, I think there may have been 2 of these.....

2nd Gen CRX, looked pretty well picked over

~2000 Mazda MPV (!)

~80 BMW 528i (e12 body for those who know about that sort of thing....)- looked like 99% of these that I've seen- kinda old and tired.

Didn't have time to look at the domestic rows- I'm planning to go back there Thurs or Fri, weather permitting.

Feel free to PM or email me if you want me to keep an eye out for something for you - I usually check this yard out once a week or so.

Bret.

Hey Bret.

that 97 Protege interests me. I could use a spare pair of front fenders, bumper covers and a drivers door (don't need the door panels or windows, just the steel parts) -- heck the windshield would be good also, if I knew how to install one!!!

I am leaving town, so I am sure I won't have time to get over there. How long do items like the ones I want usually last over there?

Mazda MPV, huh? I'm looking for the driver's power window guts for a 97 MPV although any gen 1 (89 to 98) would probably work. Could you check for one if your going back soon? Muchas Gracias.

Brett, I'm looking for front and/or rear suspension clips from a 84-87 Jag SJ6 or SJ12 sedan or a 84-92 SJX (latter prefered)

Thinking about going down to this place tomorrow. Anyone have any specific directions? What name should I look for as I drive on 70? They open on weekends?

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

They are open 7 days a week

Its on the right and has a big "LKQ" banner.

If you get to Bojangles, you went too far.

Just went out there again Thursday- they have put out about 3-4 new rows of imports since I was last there. Nothing too exciting (for me anyway), but plenty of Japanese cars, Honduhs, Toyotas, Nissans, a couple of Subaru's (what does "WRX Sti" mean anyway....) A Justy and a Sedan, the Miata I saw last time was still there- though it's pretty rough AND it's an automatic!! They even had an A1 Rabbit Diesel that looked mostly complete. As usual the Swedes were well-represented- why are there always soooo many Saab's and Volvos in pick n pull junkyards???

A couple of new rows of Ford's and GM's too- not sure about the Chrysler section- didn't check.

Saw a '97 Cavalier with front hubs intact (Vincent).

Is it good or bad when everyone who works at the junkyard knows you??

Sorry I was not able to check for specific requests, trust me- it's worth a drive out there (and $2 admission) to have a look for yourself- unless you're looking for BMW parts- if so, just buy them from the dealer....
