I just picked up the newly released dvd of Grand Prix. I have not had time to watch the movie yet (I can't wait to watch it in stereo) But I have watched portions of the extra dvd, interviews with Jack Brabahm, Dan Gurney, Stirling Moss, Phil Hill- really good stuff. Got it at Target for $14.

Cline,

When you are watching the Monaco race at the beginning of the movie, watch for the "movie cars" that are parked above the hairpin right before the tunnel. If you pause it there you can see all the actor's race cars plus the body of the GT40 that they used for filming. Also, you can see that there are 2 cars that are covered, I think that those are the actual camera cars, one of which was of course the famous GT40.

This is still one of my favorite movies ever and definately my favorite racing movie!!!

I picked my copy up from Amazon.com. I have not watched it yet either.
I remeber going with my Dad to see it in the theater when it was first run.

I also got a copy of "the Worlds Fastest Indian". I enjoyed that one. :D
I payed $28 for the pair with free shipping.
