Does anyone have any tips for finding a nanny? We're looking for someone to come in 3 days per week, for at least the next year.

It seems there are lots of nanny-centric for-hire sites, and we're finding lots of choices, but I don't really know how to begin weeding through them.

CPR, first aid, other training, etc...

Anyone know a great nanny that will be available in the next month?

Scott

I think that a Swedish au pair is in order.

I already pointed out an ad for a Brazilian au pair. For some reason Sally didn't even think about it.

We've never had a full time professional nanny, but in the 4.5 years we've had kid(s) we've rarely been without someone who was basically 30 hours per week or so. That said, we've been extremely lucky to keep having good friends or family members who were in career transitions and such who wanted to do it for a while. Currently my wife's sister is our nanny, but it seems likely we'll lose her in the next few months. So I'm curious what you find. Keep us up to date!
