I didn't watch the race, but it looks to be a wild ride.

Mark O'Dell was supposed to be there I think. I can't wait to read about his weekend.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Still debating on who was at fault. Did the GTO push the pass too far, or did the M3 come way down on him?

I haven't see anything other than that clip, but I feel both have some level of blame with a slight bit more toward the BMW driver. IMHO I think drivers try to get a run down the right side at that point on the track to then get in position for the passing zone at the very end. But with the kink in the straight, you really have to be along side by that point as those on the racing line will otherwise tend to push you off toward the grass. Which seems to happen as you frequently see people go two wheels off at that point if you watch lots of racing at Mid-Ohio (such as SCCA runoffs). Basically the GTO driver didn't lift as the BMW driver had wanted.

I blame the track landscaper for putting a berm in a potential "off" section. Otherwise, this would have been nothing.

I agree, poor planning on track design.

I agree that is was poor track design. If that berm wasn't there the BMW could have easily merged back on track without an accident happening. As for who's fault it was that he went off I think it was equal between the BMW and GTO as the GTO should have lifted since he did not have right to the line and the BMW could have given a little more space to the GTO.
