Does Audi have any other factory competition in its class?

the peugoet company is reportedly working on their diesel rival to audi, due sometime late this year or next... till then, the judd and riley and aer teams, all have a chance to topple the audi, same as anyone, but right now, the wave of momentum, be it mental momentum, or real succsess, is certainly going their way, we will have to wait to see what peugoet does with their car,

Even outside the diesel front, I can't find any factory teams other than Audi in that class. Its too bad bcause wins amongst factory rivals would be legendary rather than merely remarkable as it is now. I'm not knocking Audi nor the race cars, but it is a different league with factory teams.

i found a engine if i ever wanted to build a pulling tractor,
the mtu 16v-4000 marine diesel.. 6.57 inch bore, 7.5 inch stroke on a v16 diesel motor,, very big.. lotsa power.. 3,500 hp. most likely at least equal maybe twice that in torque.. its very heavy, but in a tractor weight is good, at least i think so.. very cool, at 2100 rpm or lower, very nice.. and this is from the factory, mod the girl, and tranny is then the problem, with atll that torque, trannies and axles would break easily..
