Looks like they added a gravel trap and more tire walls since I was there last. Used to just be a grassy slope down to the trees.

Interesting that the car didn't roll. I was there in 1998 and watched Michael Andretti carsh in the same turn. He ended up cart wheeling down the hill.

Art, I think the gravel trap has been there for quite awhile. It was there in 1998. Not sure, but I think it was there in the late 1980's/early 1990's when I was watching IMSA GTP cars race there. Watching Derek Bell and Al Holbert in the Porsche 962 is my favorite memory of Mid-Ohio.
