Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Hey David - I finally got around to getting some pics of the Walther. It doesn't actually have a swastika on it -- must have been some childhood fantasy -- but it has a eagle stamping. Here are some pics -- if you have some friends who could give an opinion about the gun that would be great!

I just found this website: http://www.p38forum.com/ Been reading around for 15 minutes and found out the following:

- Built by Mauser (byf) in 1944 1944
- WWII, German issue - the Waa135 stamp is the Nazi inspector approval
- The eagle IS indeed standing on a Swastika
- Serial numbers match
- It's not marked for import (which means it was brought here illicitly)

Sounds like private sale value is around $600

Anybody here have a 1911? I'm trying to figure out my next piece and I'm torn between the .45 and .357. Decisions, decisions.

I have a springfield operator TRP in .45 trim. Love the gun. I've put about 3,000 round through using winchester ammo bought at walmart and I've never had a glitch.

As far as the calibre, that depends on what you're going to use it for.

Yes I do actually, from WWII no less. It was my grandfathers service weapon, even has a few notches in the handle

Free NRA membership opportunity. If you haven't signed up before, here's your chance.

Bump, gun show this weekend. Anyone know their way around these things who wants to go? I have a few guns I'm considering putting a flyer up for sale (if they let you do that).

Mike,

I've been to a couple of these over the past few years. It's a VERY interesting experience, lots of nice hardware and some interesting characters.

I don't know for sure, but I don't think they'd be OK with you posting flyers with your stuff FS. I honestly don't think you'd get anywhere close to top dollar trying to sell anything to any of the vendors- they're kind of like used car salesman and are looking to buy low + sell high.

PM or email me if you have any .22 semi-auto pistols you're looking to sell. I'm looking for something to plink with.........

Mike, why not post what you have forsale here. Also. Horsepowerjunkies.com is a local forum and they have a lot of gun forsale posts.
