my wife went to a PTA meeting for the new Holly Springs elementary school...anyway, she volunteered me to help with the school web page.

i can create the page, and host it just fine, but i want to find something that i can turn over to a REAL novice at any time. my hosting service (IVCHosting) comes with a an online web editor, but it suxors.

anyone know of a hosting service that comes with a decent web editor?

How about iWeb plus .Mac?

Easy as pie to make really good looking web pages that are easy to maintain.

Don't know much about this, yet another MS offering..... But, they advertise FREE hosting and an easy to use editor. Might be worth a shot.

I'm going to try it out to get a simple website up and running.

Anyone else have any experience with MS Office Live????

SOT- but does anyone have any recommendations for better/free/cheap website hosting- nothing fancy, but I'll probably have a couple of pages with some photos and whatever other content I can come up with.

Bret.

There is a nice Java Based version of CMS (open Source) that will let you build word like templates to maintain the site.

Google Page Creator matches those requirements. I've been playing around with it -- it's very easy to use and impressively innovative.

I don't know of service but we have been using a plone based CMS solution here at work. Plone makes editing the website very easy once it has been created.
