Busted clutch, 219k miles, broken front bumper, busted cruise control, broken ABS.

Perfect, if I can get it for what I'm willing to pay.

Wow. You going to paint white racing stripes on yours too?

Is this a 2.2L?

IFF you haven't gotten a carfax within a few hours, let me know as I am about to get a 'subscription' as I have a few VINs to run.

What, does someone else have one of these? I haven't seen one around.

Well, that car in the pic is mine. I just gotta go get it. I've never owned a hackmobile before :) Actually I've never bought a car on ebay before, but 2.2 Imprezas seem to be pretty rare in NC, so I needed to go a little north.

Here's the auction. Don't laugh at what I paid! These cars seem to go for a lot of money!

I think you might need to go to the Betty Ford Clinic for Automotive Addictions.

Damn

Thats $1175 more than you paid for the last RallyX beater, and $1125 more than a share of the Dirtmaster. I hope its fast......

Should be fast enough for FTD if it doesn't fall apart first (and hopefully it won't). :D

Let me know if you need any help working on stuff, Mike.

Got a 3.0 H6 laying around? It was part of a strategic (long term) plan to buy a car with really really high miles.

Except for a couple of cam seals and a squeaky brake caliper, it has never given me any problems. It did need the transmission replaced at 150K miles along with a rebuilt starter.

Yeah, I talked to the guy before I bid and he wasn't nearly as flakey as his description suggested :) The car has had a lot of maintenance done, including KYB AGX shocks about 20k miles ago.

FWIW, I hate shopping for cars sight-unseen on ebay. It's really risky, so I'm considering this to be a $1175 experiment.

Well, I think a few of us are buying some 'higher milage' So4 cars recently (Keith Vail, me, you), so I think there are plenty of people who can help eachother out.

Regardless, I am more than willing to help with anything... even an engine swap.

Good luck, and welcome to the 'hack' community.

Yea, but I think he is looking for a car that can actually WIN. ;)
