Bunch of newbies. :)

I've been autocrossing in 4 decades (calendar's 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's and my 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's).

My first autocross as a driver was in about 1970 in my 1969 Mustang GT. (I watched a few starting around 1965 after starting college). My first "serious" autocrossing was about 1974 in my 1974 Datsun 260Z. Ran LOTS of autocrosses since then. I competed in the Solo II Nationals in 1977, 1978, 1984, 1986, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.

I've probably driven fewer cars in autocrosses in my whole career than Mike Whitney autocrosses in one season and maybe fewer than Donnie Barnes owns in one season :D )

This is the first year since probably 1972 that I have not driven in (or even attended) an autocross . . . yet. :?

Damn, Dick throwing the SMACK down!

I've only bought one new car this year... so far!

This season, I hope to autocross all of the following...CS Miata, CSP Spyder, SS Cayman S, ASP C6 Z06, AS STi, AM FSAE, and possibly one or two others. Already done the Z06 and Cayman (and am not likely to do either again) and I know for sure I'll be doing the Miata and Spyder. The STi is likely. The FSAE car, well, it already needs some work.

No current car purchase plans loom, but trading the Cayman for a 997 GT3 sure seems tempting. But then I look at that Cayman again and just can't part with it. Sending the Cayman to some place like Ruf or Farnbacher-Loles for a small engine upgrade, LSD, and some computer tweaks is also tempting, but unlikely to get done in time to compete in SM2 in 2006. But who knows? :)

Mike, as for track events, I can't count that high! 5 for two years in a row as a student then all the ones Car Guys ran each year for all the years Kenley owned the company. Throw in some race weekends, some events under the new Car Guys owners and the vast majority of the THSCC track events. All I can say is its a BUNCH of events!

Autocross: Can't remember how many but started in mid 1990 and tailed off as I did more track events.

Now I remember how I filled my weekends before I started building the house out in Pittsboro!
