$29.97 for the Gearwrench 10 piece ratcheting wrench set- SAE + Metric (5 of each). Normally $59.99, sale good thru 1-16-06, but I think they might run out before then.

I checked the inventory online, and only the Cary store is supposed to have them in stock. They had about 8-10 sets in stock after I left.

These are the flat (not-offset) wrenches that only ratchet one way (you have to flip them over to switch from loosen to tighten). I have a few of these and they are VERY handy.

Link? Searching craftsman.com for "gearwrench" returned null.

Sorry, the link I had (worked yesterday) on sears.com now shows "item unavailable", but trust me- they had about 8-10 of these sets at Sears in Cary at about noon today.

If you want to search- try "gear wrench", but you will probably not find this set listed- unless they update/change the site.

I think Brett is refering the the name brand Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches not the Craftsman ratcheting wrenches. Sears carries both brands.

Right. Sears search function returns a null when inputting "gearwrench" into craftsman.com . "gear wrench" returns 5 pages of Craftsman racheting wrenches.

Yes, it is definitely the GearWrench brand wrenches we're talking about here.

As I mentioned, the link that USED to work at sears.com is no longer working- not sure why.

The sears item # is 00944000000, the GearWrench item # is 44000 .

Now, get off the computer, drive to Sears in Cary and get a couple of sets.

The set that I have came sans 15mm and 18mm which are prevalent on the Contour, not so much on the Miata. SAE would be useful for "let's see how far I can chuck this sumbitch" after, say, destroying a connector on a wiring harness when dropping an engine in an engine bay.

I'll trade you a 15mm and an 18mm for, say a 17mm and a 19mm.... :)
