Hey all,

OK so this may not seem like the normal Christmas gift most men would give their wives, but Rebecca really wants a helmet bag for her brain bucket. Anybody know where I can get one locally. RacerWholesale.com wants $25 for it (not too bad I think) but they want $10 for shipping. That is obscene.

So, any line on a local one?

(Hopefully she won't visit the forums in the next two weeks!!!)

Todd

I got one from Tire Rack a while back - there were having a "special" on them, IIRC. Don't know, but might be worth checking with local motorcycle shops - even if an M-rated helmet isn't an SA-rated helmet, they should both fit in the same bag. There's a place called Cycle Gear in Garner that has good prices (it's not a dealer).

Now that's awesome. Jegs offers "Free 1-2 Day Nationwide Delivery" then asterisks it to a $9.99 "handling" charge per order. Handling like that is deserving of a happy ending.

hahaha, he said happy ending.

saferacer.com is offering 20% discounts on all orders. the OMP gloves in the discontinued section are awesome. not to mention the shoes they have on sale. mostly small sizes.

Try Discovery Parts in GA. http://www.discoveryparts.com

I know Ron had gotten some "generic" helmet bags a while back that he gives away free with helmet purchases. Think they were pretty cheap by themselves.

*edit* looks like site is messed up. Phone is 888-748-RACE

I think Summit had the same type of thing, but there handling charge was $8.99. Having worked in the auto parts bidness, I can tell you that a lot of margin is made on shipping.

I got mine from Ray Price Harley for about the same price as the ones online.

I have bought stuff from Discovery parts and have had quick service too. I think the Camera mount came is 3 days

Living in NASCAR central, I can get about anything race related. One of the perks of living here :) I picked up my Simpson helmet bag on closeout for $15. - AB

Thanks guys. Looks like I will be visiting the motorcycle shops on saturday. If that fails I'll call Discovery Parts.

Thanks again.

That might be just a little over the top for Rebecca, Mike. She's not much of a "PINK" kind of girl. Thanks for looking though. :D

I agree that many companies make $$$$ on shipping.
How much shipping of individual orders did C@rquest do??
I thought they had their own network of trucks + drivers.
