For those of you who don't know, Discover channel has/had been showing the UK show Top Gear. They are considering revamping/repackaging the show for the US audience. Basically if you like the show, you probably don't want anyone else recutting it for us.

Someone on a 914 Forum I visit has started a petition. No clue if this has any hope of making a difference, but I wanted to pass it along...

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Oh.. I think that will go over well when they start bashing Americans (which they do often) and talking crap about our big "Yank Tanks" and the crappy power we get from V8s.

I personally find it hilarous (Even 5th gear -- more US friendly -- made fun of the Mustang in their review). I would love to see what Americans think once they see it in the 'raw' format.

I think that is something Discovery Channel would like to avoid. I would love to see that in HD though ;)
