I forwarded this to Tina at home and when she watched it, she asked "what was with the naked chicks?". I had totally not noticed that the page has some pron advertisments. That is probably why it was banned.

I just got a REAL picture of Adam's house from last year! He said that there were 60,000 lights used!!! This year's display should be better!

Right Adam??

I didn't notice them either. Sorry 'bout that. (On the other hand, she had to click on the links to see any "naked chicks").... :D

That is waaaay cool. I played the video at first and thought, "oh that's kinda neat." Then I thought.. hmm.. .I wonder if there is music with this and unmuted my speakers. Then I went "oh my .. that is waaay cool!"

Anybody know what CD that song is from. It sounds like Mannheim Steamroller on steroids... I like it.

Miles

Hey Miles,

Trans Siberian Orchestra:
http://www.trans-siberian.com/intro.html

They ARE MS on steroids! They played here last month. A mix between Holiday music and a Rock Opera from what I've heard.

Here is an article in a Dayton paper about the display and the traffic problems it caused.

http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/content/shared/oh/news/stories/1207deerfieldlightsweb.html

The people broadcast the music on radio so you can hear it as you watch the display.

That's pretty interesting that that was an actual video. I had just assumed that it was done using stop-motion photography (like claymations), then set to music later. Very impressive!

Well, it was reported on the news this morning that Carson Williams of Mason, OH (the owner and creator of the awesome light display in the video) was ordered by the local constabulary to extinguish his display.

Seems there were just too many fender benders on his street because of the lights that the cops weren't able to finish their chocolate glazed!!

And for those of you wanting to do something similar with your house for next year, please visit Animated Lighting, Inc. for more information.
