It's still on. Just wanted to make sure people know since nabisco is still busted. (btw, anybody know what's wrong?) Spread the word to the non-THSCC members...

Friday 10/28/05, Ale House, Cary, 6pm until whenever.

Non-Subaru owners feel free to join us. There will be cars, beer and food.

Not 100% sure, but isn't that site based in FL? If so, that could be the reason for no worky. :?

"Apparently, Nasioc is still up, but the T1 lines that he runs the servers on are down. SO, it's the phone companies fault. " -- Andrea

Simon cannot make the one this Friday, so I would propose still having this one, if you want, and then another one on 11/4.

I am all for 11/4 as I am tapped out.. but it is whatever. I will come to both.

Not planning to have one 11/4 - the usual "1st Saturday" meet is 11/5 at Ale House on Wake Forest Rd, and I don't want to have to go to Raleigh 2 days in a row. :D

I had forgotten that Nick was in Florida.

Well now, hold on there pilgrim. I'm still considering. Perhaps if I go home early today and pay extra attention then she won't notice if I'm later than usual tomorrow and smelling of beer. Ha! Right, like that'll happen. I'll see what I can do - maybe see you guys tomorrow.

ORRR, maybe we can take it to his place?!?

I agree with Christine (can't believe I said that), if Simon isn't going to be there, maybe we should have another gathering the following week.

There's already going to be a gathering the following weekend. Ale House, Wake Forest Rd, is it 4pm?, first Saturday of every month.

But it wouldn't be a Subaru thing

Besides, seeing as how I haven't been to one yet and I don't know, do they go inside, sit down and eat/drink/be merry? Or do they just stand around outside like a bunch of highshoolers?

I wasn't really implying that we needed to have it the following week, just that it would be nice for the unstated guest of honor be able to show up. :)

They're adults, Cosby. :P It's just like any "Subaru" meet that I've been to. You hang around the cars and grunt like Tim the tool man, then you go inside and eat & grunt some more. Then you go back outside and grunt around the cars some more. Usually some photos are taken. Somebody takes somebody else on a joy ride. Then everybody leaves before the cops show up.

Adults? Oh I definitely can't go to that then. If I'm not the oldest and coolest there, then it's not worth it.
