If these beauties had the reliability of the 'ol Honda, I'd be on the way to Denver right now.

Man, I've been lusting after one of these since 1989. Once the price of entry became reasonable though, the reality of maintainence and repair costs made them still very unrealistic. Plus, I lost interest in turbocharged cars. Still very cool cars with one of the best "looks" ever. Maybe someday I can have one as my 7-8th car, to drive just on Sundays...

Having grown up in the South of England with a best friend who's father ran a Lotus only repair facility (busy man) I 100% agree.

Of course, for $30K, I'd buy an old Europa, put a new LS7 mated to a Porsche transaxle in the back of it and scare myself to death.

Used I would have to say a Porsche 911. There are lots of great cars out there for sub-$30k now.

New, I'm betting you can still get an STi for very close to that.

In addition to the ITR, I would like to add early NSX's. I drove a '91 a couple years ago, and it was a blast. Maybe I will add that to the stable once the ITR is paid off. Man I love Honda's! 8)

Favorite new car under $30,000 is the Mazda RX8. I have always been partial to rotaries.
I have to agree with Charlie about the used car under $30,000 being the early NSX. They are such great design that ages so well and of course it is a Honda.

I would have to say a used z06. you can easily find a 2002 405HP z06 for well under 30k. Best sports car bang for your buck.

No Z06 for me (not that I'd durn one away). I suppose I'm just a ricer at heart. Not to mention the NSX has to be the hottest looking car of the modern era.

Ditto!

Mid-engine, Honda, what else can you ask for! If only they would depreciate faster!!

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.
