Many of you may have noticed that I seem to have a my fair share of "desk" time at work. Well, I fussed a little to my boss the other day that my computer was too slow (Pentium 3, 500 mHz or so, 300 mb ram). Well, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I've now got an AMD Athalon at about 1800 MHz (but only 256 mb RAM).

Yes, the machine is faster.

Yes, I can surf more efficiently now!

I also have a CD-R and DVD player now.

Yeah, but what do you do for a living?

I'm a lab chemist... My job doesn't require more than a calculator...

But I'm a jewelry designer and I have an AMD 1800, 512 MB RAM, Raid 240 GB HD array, 21" flatscreen monitor, CDR and DVD. Plus 3 slightly slower DTs and a P3 IBM laptop with DVD that goes to AXs with us.
Let the pi$$in contest begin!

just remember you started it =)

at home i have 5 desktops p3 750, athlon 800, t-bird 1200, p3 733 and athlon 500 all with at least 128 megs of ram and total storage of over 400GB (60GB mirrored array counted only as 60GB not 120) and a p3 500 laptop. oh.. and one of my pc's is in the garage for quick access to alldata cds and the bmw ETK and TIS. unfortunately my apartment complex garages are not close enough to pick up my wireless or i'd have wireless installed on the pc in the garage.
