Well, I made it to the Test n Tune in Feb. and haven't made it to a TH autocross for the rest of the season. Well, I haven't forgotten about you guys, I've just had a few life-changing events this year.

I changed careers in January and joined Edward Jones Investments. The training and prep for this has taken most of my waking time. I have made it a point to stay active in our local NCRSCCA chapter though not nearly as much as I'd like to be. I will rejoin TH next season if at all possible, but my spare time will be occupied by another matter by then as well.

Hope and I are expecting our first baby in April! Yes, I'm already planning an early carting career-how much is that Recaro baby seat again?

My new career is off to a decent start and I'm embarking on some self-taught activities that may help speed that along too, but having a baby on the way is major motivation for me right now. Autocross is still a major activity I plan to continue even though car budgets may get slashed again.

I have really missed the challenging TH autocrosses this year, not to mention the skill level that we just don't have here. I cannot wait to make it to more events next season, and eventually get my car set up properly. I'll still try to make one or two of the remaining events this year, but if I don't I will see you guys next year.

Doug

Congrats on the kiddo, man. I hated kids until I had my own. But now I get it -- Nathan (18 months old) is great. The first 6 months can suck, so be prepared :)
