Indeed if this is true and precident has been set, then they should have done something different.

Like I said I could be worng I seem to remeber them making a big deal that the rain tires that Ferrari was using. This was last year I think, was Bridgestone the only supplier last year?

No, they were not.

That was the safety of everyone.

Except the drivers that had already wrecked and had been T-boned.

That is not the point. The rain was falling on everyone. It was equal. This only affected the guys with tires from Michelin.

But they could've slowed down in the rain and still have been safe.

It wasn't the falling rain as much as the standing water and rivers that flowed across the track.

Only 6/20 drivers drive Bridgestone. Whatever happened to majority rule? Or fans first?

F1 is officially broken now. We'll see what happens to the teams if they get scolded, as Ferrari is the only manufacturer to sign on with Bernie for 2006.

Either way, they all drive the same track so the point is the same.

Majority of who? The teams competing? They don't get to change the rules. What if those seven teams had gotten together and put turbos on their cars ahead of time then decided to make them legal under majority rule? Ridiculous? Sure, but it does show that majority rule doesn't work. As for fan first, this is F1. The series pre-dates fan involvement to a large extent. That is not to say that the fans shouldn't be the priority, but their interests have never been the focus of the series. This may change that, but only after everything is settled. No one in F1 was going to make a fans first decision in the middle of a weekend.

I think we agree on this. There will be a Champ Car and IRL type battle in global open-wheel in the near future, I think.

Ok guys, you need to step it up a bit, Honda Tech has a 22 page thread about the F1 debacle this weekend!

Turbos? That's an assinine digression from the safety point at hand.

But why has F1 failed? Bernie doesn't realize where his $3+ B bank account came from. The fans.

I told you it was ridiculous, but it does show that you cannot allow the majority of teams to make decisions.

I don't think F1 has failed. Not yet. Bernie didn't get that three billion dollars because he is an idiot. I would not under-estimate him. He is like the Emperor.
