I'm thinking of heading down to Fayetteville Sunday for a little test n' tune 1/4 mile drag racing. Find out what the Mustang can run, anyone interested in going down with me, let me know.

I'm sick right now but I might be if I feel better. I've been interested in how fast my car is in a straight line compared to other econoboxes. How much, how many runs?? In Kinston on thursdays you get as many runs as you can pull for 20 bucks supposedly.

I haven't been in awhile, but it was $15 for as many runs as you want last time I was there, there aren't really any rules.

Went ok, beat up on one a dem dar Nisson Z cars, 350Z I reckon. He had a big ole exhaust and a big ole curbin fibar wang. :)

My best was a 13.97@98.5mph 2.10 60' Unfortunatley, I was unable to back up the 13 second run and believe me I tried, like 12 times. :D Had many 14.0X's but no other 13s. Did manage a 2.08 60' later, but no better ET. The car managed better 60' times than I thought it would. Must be something to do with that torque stuff. Considering Fayetteville is a notoriously slow track, I'm pretty satisfied. After I put on my X-pipe this week, I'm going to Rockingham and see if I can manage a 13.6-7. Gotta at least match the time I ran in the Subaru station wagon. :D

In true "Mustang Guy" fashion, I am probably going to go to Rockingham friday night. I installed the X-pipe and according to G-tech picked up 16hp. Gotta go see if thats for real. Anyone else interested in seeing what their ride can do, feel free to tag along. Test n' Tune starts at 7 and goes to 10 friday nights in Rockingham. Should be cool clear and dry, perfect drag racing weather...
