Maybe an ITR in DS.

OK, so it would have 83,400 miles on it by the time I get back here.

Oh, and more like fly 1200 miles west and drive home for a few days in a nice car :) Hasn't eveyone always wanted to drive a new-to-you car home cross-country?

I got permission from Kendra on the $$ and the road trip, just gotta see if the car is right and if I can get the price I want. I'd only call it a 25% probability right now. Totally willing to walk away.

But it's Technoviolet and an ex-CPO car. Both of which are next to Godliness in my book.

What's CPO in BMW speak Mike? Is that like the old COPO cars that Chevy used to make?

Certified Pre-Owned.

BMW Individual is the equivilant of COPO. Of course, the USA, BMW's largest market isn't worthy of getting BMW Individual.

We flew to Alb. NM and drove our tow vehicle home, but it was hardly what you'd call a luxury vehicle at the time (56 Ford F100 Panel Truck with no door weatherstripping to keep out wind noise and very loose steering) but it turned out to be a pretty pleasant 2 day trip without any major incidents. In fact the 80 mph wind noise and a passenger door that refused to lock from the outside at the second day lunch stop were the only problems (oh and the truck's willingness to change lanes on it's own when passed by 18 wheelers in the TN-NC mountain area starting to give Donna some motion sickness).

Cool car Mike, I dont have Carfax but I googled Bimmer Z1. I have never heard of one. Do you know what market it is from? What year is yours? Does it have a title, or is it a track car. What kind of power does it have? What a nifty head turner!
