I am looking into getting a used popup camper as well as maybe a small trailer for misc use and part of that is where to store it. I may not be able to store it at my house (may not want to even if I am able to do so), so I am curious about what to expect when shopping for a storage spot.

I assume I should just call self storage places and check to see if they take trailers, etc. Do they expect a contract for a period of time? Can I only store it during the winter months, or would I "loose" my spot and it would be better to pay for a spot year round. How much should I expect to pay per month for a typical popup camper? Any recommendations on places to check? Any other tips/tricks when shopping around?

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

i think most of the "row of garages" type storage places give the option of parking stuff along the outer fences.. i would assume just like the storage units themselves that you can do that month to month no contract.. Cardinal storage on Westgate (about a mile up from 70 near angus barn) where i have a storage unit has crap parked everywhere.. theres also a storage place up on capital north of 540 that actually has an entire row of parking spots inside the fenced area with cars and boats in them.. not sure what the name of that place is but its on the right when traveling north and is within 2 or 3 miles of 540..
