Like, what's up with the Tire Rack "click-thru" deal?

I bought a set of Kumho's last month using the "click-thru" on the THSCC website. There is no acknowledgement from Tire Rack that THSCC is involved when you place the order.

Who gets to check to be sure we get our commish?

How do we know we're not getting stiffed!!!??

Have we rec'd any $$ from Tire Rack so far...?

Our "cut" should average $25-30/set of tires. With all the Kumho's ordered by our members from Tire Rack, we should see some pretty serious jack, right? Where is it??!!?

We need to make sure everyone remembers to get this "free money" for the Club. Maybe put up a sticky on this forum? 8)

Comments??

I ordered some Kumho rally tires using the time trial banner link last month and saw absolutely zero confirmation that any THSCC connection happened. Is the club getting confirmations of this? How many others have bought tires using the click-through?

There is a siteid value being submitted when you click on the banner so it's doing something. Like any other affiliate program you just have to trust that you get your money.

I'd rather see the link be more prominent in the forums, or somewhere... I'm not sure if that would be stepping on the toes of the club as a whole if the money's only going to the track program ?

I *thought* we had some kind of tire rack thingy. I went looking for it. Home page, sponsors page. Couldn't find it. Ordered tires. Still don't know where the link is.

It's down on the Time Trial site. We need to put a similar banner on the main site (and ideally the forum as well) but there were some questions to resolve first. I think we're past them now, though.

Same here. I bought Yoks for the Mustang a few months ago from TR, but only after looking around to see if there was a click-through here. Ah well.

Since the club had an arrangement as of some effective date.

Couldn't an officer request that the Tire Rack reemburse the club for all the purchases by club members as of that date?

Each member can provide receipts and the Tire Rack has all their info. That way we do get our cut like we are supposed to.

Graham:

I ordered some long lead-time Kumho's back in October before the Link was effective. I called Tire Rack to inquire about getting the Club the cut. The guy said that the Customer Service group cannot screw with an order that has already been entered. That would mean that they probably cannot "back-date" an order to give THSCC the commission.

Anyway, I then cancelled my order and re-entered it via the click-thru.

They acknowledged the cancellation and then acknowledged the new order with the same ship date.

We should get our cut on my order. I'd like to see a report.

By the way, who said that the Track Program is the only beneficiary?!!!

The money from the click through is going into the general account. There are plenty of shared expenses that make it quite beneficial to do it this way. I'm betting that with all the ordering we do, we could nearly pay for our annual insurance premiums this way (everyone uses the insurance).

Since we went "live" with the click-through on December 14, we have had $1476 (17 items) in orders from the TireRack, which in turn has generated $88 dollars of revenue for the club.

Not too bad for the offseason. I know I'm about to spend some money!

No Hoosiers here, just a set of Kumho V710's.

Should be at HH&W before Friday...

If TireRack sold Falken they would double or triple the sales to our club -- it seems like everyone has a set or two of Azenis laying around.

Come to think of it would that be a possible opportunity to get Vulcan Tire to give us kickbacks if we routed people their way?

They seem to be the bigger Falken Tire supplier.
