Info Request: early Porsche Boxsters

My dad is considering purchasing an early Boxster. I'm not sure how serious he is at this point. However, we went to test drive our first one yesterday, and we were both very impressed.

He is looking for one with 20-40K miles, 1-2 owner, no wrecks, and in the $20-25K price range. My question is: are there any specific things to look for on the early Boxsters (i.e. factory recalls, etc.)? We have owned mostly Japanese cars in the past, so any additional information would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
