Last year I used a product I found at Home Depot. After having a similar experience as Rob described when I came home with said guillotine I went back and found Mole-B-Gone, a skin irritant. It's humane if that's important to you as it won't kill anything. I don't remember what exactly was in it but it comes in gallon-sized containers and I bought 4 of them for not much more than I paid for the trap. I used a lawn spreader as it is in granular(sp) form.
