Any around here other than the LKQ's? I can't seem to find any with web searches, anyway.

Seems like LKQ doesn't buy Jeep Wranglers for some reason. Out of three I checked inventory on, ONE had a single 1999 Wrangler and NO other Wranglers. Plenty of other Jeep brand products, just no Wranglers. Which I find extremely odd.

I've seen a few Wranglers at LKQ Clayton over the years, but they've usually been very rusty AND wrecked.

I think the problem is that Wranglers seem to bring good money at the salvage sales based on what I've seen, so the u-pull yards usually don't buy them.

There are a few u-pull yards besides LKQ, but none close to the RTP area. Cape Fear pick 'n' Pull in Wilmington is one, they also have a yard in Myrtle Beach (Grand Strand pick 'n' Pull). There's a place in Goldsboro, Bevell's Pull It Yourself, and a a few down east, Foss in LaGrange, Foss in Jacksonville (currently undergoing some sort of renovation), Foss in Havelock. Then there's Young's in Dudley (just south of Goldsboro). Pull-a-part in Charlotte, as well as Winston-Salem too.

Out of those, Cape Fear and Pull-A-Part probably have the best online inventory, but Cape Fear is sometimes slow to update it- oftentimes they are weeks behind. Young's has no online inventory, Foss' online system sucks and is way outdated. Bevell's is pretty good, but it's hit and miss when it comes to timely updates.

Not really shippable. Looking for hard top stuff for Jeeps. Freedom panels and even tops with light or no damage.

Nothing I'm dying for, just hoping to run across it easy.

Go out on there, do the search and then sort by distance. If you find anything close to Charlotte, I can pick it up and store it for you until you can get down here. - AB

There is a big yard outside Elm City, can't speak for Jeep parts.

Wagners is in Durham, not sure if they keep Jeeps over there but they do have a online inventory search.

T.E. Nines near Wake Forest used to be a u-pick, not sure what their status is now.

There is a THSCC member (Jeremy Gast) working at Wagner's, he can probably help find something and maybe give you a break on price.

Wranglers, any of them are hard for us normal yards to get. Jeep only places or off roaders buy them up for crazy money. Marsh in siler city might be a good place to check. They generally keep a good inventory on jeep stuff.

Thanks. I figured that was it, but wanted to throw it out there and make sure there wasn't something I was missing.

Got all hot and bothered because a lot in Asheville showed some 2dr JK hard tops on car-part. Called and the dude said they were in another building and he would send a guy to take some pics. Turns out they were 4dr tops. They didn't even know what they had. *sigh*

In fairness, the way those Freedom panels work does make it a bit confusing when you just see an uninstalled top and don't realize it's still missing the part over the driver's doors.
