Looking to get a ring repaired (replace a small diamond, etc.) for my wife. I assume this if more of a job for a custom jeweler and not a chain type of place. Anyone have any recommendations? Something in Triangle area.

Thanks,

Richard

Bailey's in Cameron Village has always given me and my wife excellent customer service.
The work I have had them perform in the past has been impeccable.

William Travis in Chapel Hill does outstanding work.

I ended up going to Bailey's. I admit I have zero experience with jewelry repair so I had no clue as to potential cost. I am picking up the ring tomorrow, but a small diamond replacement, fixing some prongs and replacing a section of the band is going to be $900. I about passed out when given the quote! Note, just the diamond repair was to be $125 (which seemed reasonable). But the cost of the entire package convinced me that I should go into the business of jewelry repair!
