Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Saw this on autoblog the other day, so who knew this was a "thing". So they use the vans to transport their bikes, so the natural progression was one driver asking another, "is that van fast?".

Sucks if your van breaks down, but at least you have a bike to ride home!

After racing three Lemons events this year with an Astro van IN THE DAMN WAY, I'm not a fan.

These seem to have considerably more stink under the hood than the Astro Van VK.... although, from looking at the video, safety gear is not their priority :) - AB

Agreed. No roll bar in something with a C-of-G that high seems to be begging for trouble.

One of the first Chimney Rock hillclimbs that I worked there was a guy who was racing a Formula Vee an his Camaro tow car in A Sedan. He blew up the clutch in the Camaro on Sunday and was stuck in town with no way to get a clutch until monday and no way to go get it as it was a little far to drive a FV from Chimney Rock to Hendersonville to get a part.

The lap belts get a pass? :v

I will say that seeing a Dodge Caliber and two Tahoe/Suburbans in Kuwana, Japan was super weird.

They make up for it via creative track design. Appropriately placed trees, dirt banks, unprotected walls and stacks of large concrete blocks ensure that if you have an accident you die quickly and with minimal pain.

I seriously doubt that cars can get over 100km/h at Ebisu.

e: ~1:15 laptimes on a 2.1km circuit = ~100km/h average speed
